Terms and Conditions

 

By participating in the Country Music Alberta Awards and balloting process, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. Access to the ballot is restricted to eligible Country Music Alberta (CMAB) Members in good standing as of Nov 1, of the upcoming fiscal period

  2. The right of this vote is non-transferable by a user under any circumstance and shall be used only by the CMAB Member to whom the voting has been assigned;

  3. A ballot that is submitted is deemed to be representative of the CMAB Member in whose name it is submitted;

  4. All votes will be kept confidential by the voter during and after the voting process;

  5. All voting will be subject to verification and certification by an independent third-party;

  6. The CMAB does not disclose the contact information of its members;

  7. The Country Music Alberta Awards statistics list, contenders’ list, Top 10 list, nominee list and ballots are the property of the CMAB. They are for exclusive use by the voting members in connection with casting votes;

  8. Voters shall not be influenced by personal friendships, company loyalties, regional preferences or mass sales;

  9. Voters shall not allow their choices to be suggested or directed by anything other than their own conscience;

  10. Voters shall not accept money or anything of value in exchange for votes;

  11. Voters shall not enter into any agreement or understandings on how to vote. This includes, without limitation:

    • VOTING BLOCS: Groups of voters who agree to vote together. Such groups may include, but are not limited to, those voters affiliated with a particular record label, management company or those voters linked through social media;

    • VOTE TRADING: Offering to vote or voting in any manner in exchange for another’s vote;

 

Eligible CMAB Members who violate any of these Terms and Conditions, encourage others to violate these guidelines and/or attempt to interfere with the voting process in any way will be disqualified in the current year’s program and their votes will not be counted. Violations of these Terms and Conditions may be subject to sanctions by the CMAB Board of Directors, including termination of applicable CMAB Membership.

Country Music Alberta acknowledges that what we call Alberta is traditional and ancestral Indigenous land. The Treaty 6, 7, and 8 lands on which we all live, work, and play include the traditional and ancestral territories of the Beaver, Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, and Nakota Sioux peoples, as well as the Tsuut'ina Nation, Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy, and the Métis Nations of Alberta. We recognize and acknowledge all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples who have lived on and cared for these lands for generations.
