Country Music Alberta acknowledges that what we call Alberta is traditional and ancestral Indigenous land. The Treaty 6, 7, and 8 lands on which we all live, work, and play include the traditional and ancestral territories of the Beaver, Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, and Nakota Sioux peoples, as well as the Tsuut'ina Nation, Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy, and the Métis Nations of Alberta.
